Bristol Beacon – Willmott Dixon

Bristol Beacon is the city’s largest concert hall and one of the most eye-catching buildings in the Southwest of England.  

Ian Williams Carpentry are privileged to work alongside Willmott Dixon on this exciting multi million pound full refurbishment, securing an extensive Carpentry & Joinery package on this most prestigious project. 

The redevelopment involves remodelling the main hall to increase standing capacity, The Lantern facility area will be transformed into a performance venue, in addition to the new performance area, the cellars will house new classrooms and a technology lab, providing a space to educate and inspire young people about music and the arts.  

 Our Carpentry & Joinery Package includes 

  • Structural repairs to existing building fabric and extensive works to main roof, floors, and feature lantern 

  • Renovating and refurbishment of existing windows and doors 

  • Feature flooring to main hall 

  • Extensive general carpentry & joinery to include doorsets, ironmongery, skirtings and decorative mouldings, acoustic and stage doors 

  • The main auditorium features timber cladding works including refurbishment of existing internal timber wall linings, new timber linings and balustrades.  

The transformation of this Grade 2 listed heritage site is one of the biggest schemes to be procured under the Southern Construction Framework.
