Plastic Free July

“LET’S ALL CHOSE TO REFUSE SINGLE-USE PLASTICS”

IWC are taking part in Plastic Free July - a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities. Approximately 40% of the plastic waste is made up of single-use plastic items and almost 9 million tonnes of plastic waste ends up in the World’s oceans which endangers wildlife, pollutes the water, and puts human health at risk.

Plastic Free July is a key initiative of the Plastic Free Foundation.The foundation an independent, not-for-profit organisation, was established in 2017. In July 2018, 120 million people across the globe took part in the Plastic Free July challenge across 177 countries. https://www.plasticfreejuly.org/
